SAS Crew tips: Rome

Trattoria Luzzi
Trattoria Luzzi is close to the Colosseum and perfect for lunch while you do all the sightseeing. The food is great and the prices are reasonable.

Trattoria Vecchia Roma
One of my all time favorite restaurants around the world. Every time I go to Rome a visit here is a must. Try the Bucatini Amatriciana Flambè. You have to make reservations.

Pastificio Guerra
You’ll find this cozy restaurant close to the Spanish Steps. Each day they make two different kinds of pasta that will cost you just €4. The food is served in takeaway plates and you can easily bring it with you and enjoy it in the sun.

Piazza Navona
At Piazza Navona you’ll find many bars during the evening. I often went here with my friends and we used to take one drink at one place and then move on to another. It’s a great area with a lot of life.

Circolo degli Illuminati
You will find many nightclubs in Rome but we often went to this one. It has three different rooms and an ample garden so it offers a wide variety of musical genres.

Aperitivo
Most of the bars around the city offer the Italian aperitivo which means that if you buy a beer, wine or drink (typical aperitivo drink is Aperol Spritz) you’ll either be served some cold cuts and cheese or get access to a buffet with lots of different finger food at no extra cost. Do this in the afternoon while you rest your feet after all the walking. Some of them even offer so much food that the Italians call it Apericena (cena = dinner).
